I created this team charter with a group of three other team members for my Professional Communications and Rhetoric class as part of my Technical Communications and Rhetoric degree from Utah State University. We were all extremely busy and one priority for this charter was to create a realistic timeline to get a project completed. We analyzed our schedules, skills, and the project requirements to complete a realistic timeline. We were able to complete the project early as a result of this thorough planning process. Additionally, early in the project we decided which team members would be performing which aspects of the project and what tools they would need to complete the aspect in a professional and thorough way. Although our team charter -- particularly the timeline, team purpose, and ground rules -- created a process where our team had no conflicts, we created a plan should a conflict arise anyway.
