I acted as the Editor in Chief of Sink Hollow Literary Journal for two years. Before that, I was the design editor and helped design Issues 6 and 7, and solely designed Issues 8, 9, and 10, including the covers. Additionally, I was part of the copyediting team for every issue. I was the art editor for Issues 8, 9, and 10 and chose all of the art to include in the issues. I relied on a team of readers to help read, judge, and provide the final prose and poetry selections included in the magazine, but I also read every submission myself. I used InDesign to create the magazines and published them through Issuu. Sink Hollow has a very minimalistic style that I imitated throughout the issues; I wanted the content to shine and I didn’t want the design to distract from it. I also created a template for designing the issues going forward after I left my position as Editor in Chief.
